A debut appearance

This morning we were up early for our latest dawn cruise on the Rutland Belle. Late summer is always a good time to join us on the boat because there is a great chance of seeing the newly-fledged juveniles exploring away from their nests. Sure enough, as we headed down the reservoir’s south arm towards Manton Bay, 8F and 9F passed low overhead, providing superb views for everyone on board. The two birds completed a circuit of the fields bordering the south shore before heading back to their nest. It was great to see them enjoying life on the wing!

Our next cruise is this coming Wednesday afternoon and we still have quite a few places available. If you would like to join us on board, click here to book online. It’s a great way to spend a summer evening.

The Rutland Belle at dawn this morning

Having spent the morning exploring 8F has been snoozing on the nest this afternoon. All this flying is tiring, you know.
