A thank you!

Our thanks to the Martin Lawrence Memorial Trust and Swarovski Optik

The Rutland Osprey Project has received generous financial support, which has allowed the Education Team to develop resources and do practical activities with children visiting the reserve or when the team go into local schools.

This year the Martin Lawrence Memorial Trust have funded another 10 pairs of Bushnell Permafocus binoculars, specially designed for children’s use. We now have 30 pairs of these binoculars, enough for a complete school class!

The Martin Lawrence Memorial Trust has also made significant contributions towards our children’s publications including “Ozzie’s Return”, and “Ozzie Leads the Way” by Ken Davies.

This year the Martin Lawrence Memorial Trust and Swarovski Optik have once again funded the production and printing of the second edition of “Be an Osprey Expert”. This activity book is now used with all of our visiting school groups, and is used as a classroom resource in many local schools.

Once again we offer our sincere thanks to the Martin Lawrence Memorial Trust and Swarovski Optik for their continued support. After all, if with their help we can capture the interest of young people and inspire them in the Rutland Ospreys, these children may in turn become the conservationists of the future!
