Lyndon Visitor Centre
Join us at the Lyndon Nature Reserve for a leisurely morning stroll. This is the perfect opportunity for those who love nature to learn a little bit more, see something special and enjoy a nice relaxing morning in the outdoors.
Our expert staff will guide you, starting from the visitor centre, through the various meadows and bird hides, chatting about the reserve. the work we do, the heritage of the site and all the wonderful wildlife you find here as we go.
On the walk we will visit Waderscrape or Shallow Water hide where, among other birds, we can view the famous Rutland Water Ospreys at the Manton Bay nest! One of the most famous sites in the country, this nest has produced several chicks over the years, some of which are now back and breeding on their own. Come and view these spectacular birds yourself to appreciate just how fantastic they are!
Finish the walk back at the centre and enjoy viewing the birds that visit our feeders, including the increasingly rare Tree Sparrow.
