Let me love you

It has been another unsettled day weather-wise, and the Ospreys have been subjected to more wind and rain. There have also been some warmer periods, as shown in the photo below, where Maya was able to leave the chicks uncovered for a short while.

33 brought in a lovely big trout at about 11:30 this morning, and he brought it straight to the nest.

Later on, when the chicks had had their fill, 33 came back for the fish and took it off to eat on the T-perch. When he’d had enough, he brought it back again!

Often, the youngest chick seems to get stuck at the back of the food queue, and Maya has to lean over the others to get to it, as she does above. In the video below, however, you can see that the little chick gets right to the front, and Maya happily obliges with the fish!

33 has turned out to be a really sweet Osprey, and often sits on the nest with Maya. Today, we saw him snuggling up next to Maya and the chicks in the wind and rain, just like we have seen him do in the past.

    Kayleigh you are a star!

You have finally convinced me that the little ‘un is doing just fine … there were a few days where I just could not bear to watch the webcam at feeding time … seeing it sat at the back begging but seemingly ignored was just too horrid!

Now it simply makes me smile to watch! Thank you xx
