High definition live stream from the Manton Bay nest

Welcome to the Manton Bay webcam, 2016! The breeding female in Manton Bay, Maya, returned on 21st March. Her partner, 33(11), joined her on 27th March. They immediately settled in and began preparing the nest for eggs, which were laid on 4th, 7th and 10th April. Two chicks hatched on 14th May, and the third on 16th May. The chicks were ringed on 24th June – T6, T7 (female) and T8 (male). T7 fledged on 4th July, T6 on 6th July and T8 on 7th July. T6 set off on her migration on 15th August, T7 on 18th August and T8 on 24th August. Maya left on 6th September, and 33 on 8th September.

The Lyndon Visitor Centre is now CLOSED for the winter. It will re-open in mid-March 2017.

The nest cameras and transmission equipment have been kindly funded by the Martin Lawrence Memorial Trust. We have also received valuable support from Western Power and BED Electrical Distributors.
