Osprey Webcam

High definition live stream from the Manton Bay nest

This year, the Manton Bay female, Maya, arrived on 17th March. Unfortunately, her partner of the past four years, 5R(04), failed to return. Maya partnered with a four-year-old Rutland male, 28(10) and laid three eggs. However, the nest has failed due to frequent and aggressive intrusions by a young male Osprey, 33(11). He chased off 28(10), was eventually accepted by Maya and kicked out the eggs. It is now too late for them to breed this year, but they have formed a strong pair-bond, and it is thought they will remain in the Bay for the rest of the season.
