When ospreys arrive back at their nest with a fish, their catch is often still alive. Ospreys though are superbly well-adapted to keeping hold of their prey, and they rarely let them go, however much the fish might be wriggling. There are exceptions though – and none better, or funnier, than what happened at the Manton Bay nest on Monday evening when 5R arrived with a small roach.
