Evening Photography Walk
Lyndon Nature Reserve
Enjoy an evening guided photo walk through the picturesque Lyndon Reserve on the south shore of Rutland Water, making the most of the light on the long late spring and summer evenings.
After a brief introduction in the Lyndon Visitors centre, the guided walk will take you through the wildflower meadows, and the woodland areas bordering the shoreline, including one or more of the hides. There will bean opportunity to take landscape pictures of rural and Rutland water views, and portraits of plants or animals we see along the way.
Photographic guidance will be given and you will be shown photographic vantage points along the way, with tips on how to take a different types of pictures in outdoor situations.
Any type of digital camera is suitable for this photo walk. This walk is for beginners – you do not need any experience in natural history photography.
What To Bring:
To get the most from your walk, please note the following:
- You will need your own digital camera.(Camera phones or tablets are not suitable)
Please ensure it has fresh/fully charged batteries and a spare battery is recommended.
- Dress in warm, comfortable clothing. A waterproof/ windproof top is recommended. A brolly may be useful if showery.
- Strong outdoor footwear with good grip.
The walk will cover about 5km on tracks and footpaths, and may include walking on un-even ground.
