20th Anniversary Celebration Cruise – SOLD OUT!

Normanton Church

Normanton

2016 marks the 20th anniversary of the Rutland Osprey Project! To celebrate this momentous occasion, we are hosting a special Osprey Cruise, in partnership with the Rutland Belle. This once-in-a-lifetime event is being held on 15th July, as this is the date exactly 20 years ago that the first juvenile Ospreys were brought to Rutland Water from Scotland!

03 was one of 64 Ospreys that were translocated to Rutland Water between 1996 and 2001 as part of a pioneering translocation projectChicks ready for fledging

The event will begin at Normanton Church at 5:45pm, where we will have an introduction and welcome from Tim Mackrill, who has been a part of the Osprey project since its inception. Drinks will be provided. The Rutland Belle will then depart at 6:30pm for an hour and a half cruise of the reservoir, where we hope several Ospreys will put in an appearance!
